Elk Grove hosts drug take-back April 26

The public will be able to surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications Saturday, April 26 at the Elk Grove Police Department.

As part of the National Take-Back Initiative, police will allow people to dispose of medication for free and anonymously, officials said. Liquid products, intravenous solutions and syringes will not be accepted.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police department, located at 901 Wellington Ave.
