New state official to host open house

State Rep. Anna Moeller, D-Elgin, will host an open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at her district office at Suite 505, 164 Division St. in downtown Elgin

"As a new state representative, I want the community to know that my office is open and accessible for those that need assistance with state programs or who want to voice their opinions about legislation that is being considering at the state capitol," Moeller said. "This would be a great time to take a brief tour of the office and to learn more about what is happening in Springfield."

The district office open house will provide residents with a chance to speak with Moeller about the remainder of the legislative session in Springfield, or about any other issues they may have. Light refreshments will be served. The district office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except Wednesdays, when it will remain open until 7 p.m. to accommodate working families. Moeller also will be available by appointment. Her office also will provide free notary services.

"I am committed to getting as much input as possible from the community about the most pressing state issues," Moeller said. "I look forward to hearing from many people at the open house and at future events."

For more information or to RSVP for the open house, contact Moeller's constituent service office at (847) 841-7130 or email staterepmoeller@gmail.com.
