The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County invites gardeners to get ready for a native plant sale next month by placing presale orders online now through 5 p.m. April 25 at

The sale offers more than 130 species of native flowers, grasses, shrubs and trees suitable for sun and shade. A catalog with photos, descriptions and prices is posted on the website.

Gardeners must pick up their orders between noon and 6 p.m. May 8 at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St.

Gardeners who do not place advance orders may still shop for plants and get advice on their care during the sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 9 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 10.
