Trustee could represent Wauconda:

Wauconda Mayor Frank Bart has announced that Trustee Lincoln Knight will represent the village if Wauconda joins the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency. Village officials are seeking to join the group as a way to get drinking water from Lake Michigan. The CLCJAWA board of directors consists of the mayors of its member communities, but agency officials have expressed displeasure with Bart and have said Wauconda needs to send a different envoy. Wauconda voters approved a $50 million plan in 2012 to build a new water system. The town uses wells now. If Knight isn't available for CLCJAWA meetings, Trustee Linda Starkey will represent the town, Bart said. The village board would need to approve the appointments.
