Downtown Retailer Celebrates First Anniversary

West Chicago, Illinois: April 7, 2014 - According to downtown West Chicago business owner Julie Rubio, hope, faith, hard work and determination can make any dream a reality. The first anniversary this month of her consignment home decor shop Little Details, located at 100 Arbor Avenue, Unit A, is proof of that belief.

"A year full of ups, downs, like any other new small business, but full of joy and happiness", is the way she describes the past twelve months while thanking those who have supported her by spreading the word to friends and family. A regular event calendar and her popular layaway services have also contributed to her success.

All things considered, Rubio is encouraged enough by the results of her first year to announce an expansion of services she plans to offer. "More options and styles to choose from, as well as the introduction of women's designer clothing and footwear, more of our own creations, more local hand-crafted items, and private consultations for decoration and organizing ideas," she said. Another new feature of the store will involve Rubio's husband Jesus, who will be offering paint services for people wanting to give their old furniture a new and improved look. Plus, she is excited about the introduction of a new loyalty card program that tracks customer purchases which accumulate for future discounts.

"Little Details has been a wonderful addition to our downtown and the City wishes the Rubio's continued success," said Mayor Ruben Pineda.

A special weekend anniversary celebration is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 26 & 27, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and will include special sales, refreshments, prizes and many surprises.
