Garage sale to benefit hospice

More than 40 households have contributed to a garage sale benefiting Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice.

The sale will start at 8 a.m. Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, at 122 W. Wilson St. in downtown Batavia, across the street from McDonald's.

There will be a wide range of items for sale, including furniture, clothing, toys, accessories, and much more. In addition, baked goods will be available for purchase, with proceeds going to Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice.

Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice is a nonprofit organization offering support for those with life-threatening illnesses and the bereaved; medical equipment loans; community education on end-of-life care and grief; and a community lending library.

All services are provided free, and Spanish interpretation is available for all programs. The agency supports all of Kane and Kendall counties, and parts of DuPage, Cook and McHenry counties. For more information, see www.fvvh.org.
