Jury selection begins in Wisconsin homicide case

MERRILL, Wis. - Jury selection begins in Lincoln County for a man accused of killing his wife and hiding her body.

Fifty-year-old Mark Bucki is charged with stabbing and strangling 48-year-old Anita Bucki last April and hiding her body in a Taylor County swamp. Prosecutors say Bucki killed his wife as their relationship deteriorated and planned to have his girlfriend move into his house.

The Daily Herald Media says 90 potential jurors will be questioned by attorneys Monday. They will cut that number to 15, including three alternate jurors. The panel will be sequestered at a Merrill hotel during deliberations. The trial is expected to last more than a week.
