Skoug produces as Libertyville rolls

Libertyville 12, Palatine 2: Evan Skoug had 3 hits, including a triple, and 4 RBI, as the host Wildcats won the nonconference game.

Mitchell Townsend pitched 5 shutout innings for the win, striking out 12 while allowing only 1 hit and 1 walk. He aided his own cause with a pair of hits and 3 RBI.

Jimmy Govern sparked Libertyville at the top of the order, going 2-for-4 with 3 runs scored and an RBI. Nick Rossetti had a single and 2 RBI, and Conor Simpson contributed a triple.
