Open house on Peterson Road work:

The Lake County Division of Transportation hosts an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 E. Peterson Road, to share information on the planned widening of Peterson Road from Route 45 in Libertyville to west of Route 83 in Grayslake. Construction is under way and is scheduled to be complete this year. The $11 million project involves reconstruction and widening of Peterson Road to four lanes with intersection improvements at Route 83 and Midlothian Road. The project team will be available to outline the project in more detail and discuss the construction plans and schedule.
