Punches for Paws - Women's Boxing Raising Money for Humane Society

On April 25th and 26th, 2014 Knockout Women's Boxing Club will be hosting "Punches for Paws" a fundraiser for West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS). Owner Jessica Storch adopted the club's mascot, a beagle aptly named Champ, from WSHS 8 years ago.

Knockout Women's Boxing Club hosts two fundraisers annually to support the community and women relevant causes. The local women's boxing club will be throwing 'punches for paws that can't' to help generate awareness to the needs of the local shelter.

"Many of our members are animal lovers and absolutely adore Champ, our mascot, so we wanted to do something to give back to WSHS," says Storch. "All of our fundraising boxing workouts are beginner friendly. We encourage everyone to come give boxing a try for a great cause."

In this two-day fundraiser, Knockout Women's Boxing Club will host a Co-Ed Boxing Workout on Friday April 25th at 7:00pm and two Women Only Boxing Workouts on Saturday April 26th at 8:30am and 9:30am. Each class requires pre-registration and the cost is $20 with a portion of proceeds going to WSHS.

Along with the workouts, WSHS will bring in adoptable dogs to Knockout Women's Boxing Club on Saturday during the classes and there will be a raffle of human and pet related gifts from local stores. Knockout Women's Boxing Club invites you to stop by even if you aren't participating in a fundraising boxing workout to see the dogs, make a donation or purchase raffle tickets.
