Hampshire 12, Belvidere 6: Haley Widmayer went 3-for-4 and was the winning pitcher as the Whip-Purs (3-2) won their third straight in their first game outdoors. Freshman Peyton DeChant had a home run for Hampshire and Aly Snider added a 2-run triple.

Larkin 12, Westminster Christian 2: Sarah Hansen was the winning pitcher and went 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI at the plate as the Royals won this season opener for both teams. Rachel Martinez added a 2-for-3 day for Larkin. Rachel Fugiel was the losing pitcher.

Elgin 4, Addison Trail 0: Jennah Perryman threw a 2-hitter with 12 strikeouts and 3 walks as the Maroons (1-2) notched their first win of the season. Melanie Berg was 2-for-2 for Elgin, while Anna Eckholm (2B, RBI) and Nora Stanley (RBI) also contributed.
