Libertyville bank hosts electronics recycling, shredding events

Libertyville Bank & Trust will host community shredding and electronics recycling events over three weekends in April and May at six of their community bank locations.

The entire community is encouraged to participate and safely destroy their sensitive documents.

Three boxes or nonplastic bags of shredding material and up to five electronic items per customer will be accepted. Electronics recycling is limited to two locations as noted below.

Event schedule:

• 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 1110 W. Maple, Mundelein, for shredding only; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1101 Lakeview Pkwy., Vernon Hills, for shredding only.

• 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 26, 201 E. Hurlburt Court, Libertyville, for electronics recycling and shredding; 9 a.m. to noon at 675 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee, for shredding only.

• 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 31, 495 W. Liberty St., Wauconda, for electronics recycling and shredding; 9 a.m. to noon at 1200 S. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, for shredding only.

Electronic items may include, but are not limited to, keyboards, monitors, printers, PCs, cellphones, VCRs/DVD players, stereos and microwaves.

Customers are responsible for the removal of all sensitive data from their hard drives and any other storage media prior to recycling. No appliances or other large electronics will be accepted. Libertyville Bank & Trust assumes no liability for shredded and recycled items.
