Easter Bunny to visit Glendale Heights Safety Town

Peter Cottontail will be dropping off an egg-normous supply of treat-filled Easter eggs for children ages 8 and younger to hunt and collect Saturday, April 12, at Glendale Heights Safety Town, 301 Civic Center Plaza.

Age-specific egg hunts are scheduled as follows:

• 8:15 a.m.: children 5 and younger with adult assistance required;

• 9 a.m.: children 6 to 8 with adult assistance required;

• 9:30 a.m.: children 5 to 6 (kids only);

• 10 a.m.: children 7 to 8 (kids only).

The event is free and no registration is required. Participants are urged to arrive early, as the hunts begin promptly at the time listed.

To ensure a fair and even opportunity for each child collecting Easter eggs, only Safety Town-issued bags may be used, which will be provided at the Safety Town entrance. For details, call Tanya Macko at (630) 909-5459.

Afterward, hop over to the Center for Senior Citizens, 260 Civic Center Plaza, for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. There will be an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with sausage and drinks.

Photos with the Easter Bunny also will be available. No registration is required and the event fee is paid at the door. Breakfast is $5 for adults, $3 for children and $2 for pictures.
