Environmental activists scale Chicago Board of Trade

Several environmental activists are under arrest this morning after police say they briefly scaled the Chicago Board of Trade and unfurled a 50-foot banner to protest the expansion of agricultural businesses in the world's rain forests.

The banner was removed by city firefighters shortly before 9 a.m. after the four activists from the Rainforest Action Network climbed down from their perch, authorities say.

A spokesman for the Chicago Police Department says several protesters were arrested, although authorities couldn't immediately say how many.

The group says it decided to protest at the CBOT because it trades soy, a crop processed by agricultural businesses.
