Shadow Puppet Workshop at Historical Museum

What to do with all those overhead projectors shoved in the back storage closet? Shadow puppets!!! Participants will learn how to use overhead projectors to create shadow puppetry by building specialized slides and experimenting with different materials and shadow techniques. They will also have the opportunity to perform short skits at the end of class.

Workshop is conducted by Kat Pleviak, Artistic Director of Sea Beast Puppet Company in Chicago. Perfect for early childhood educators, elementary school teachers and librarians. Certificate for two hours Gateway training credit will be given at the end of the workshop.

Shadow Puppets Workshop is Tuesday, April 15, 7-9 pm, at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Fremont. Fee is $25; preregistration is required, program #1270-3 online at ahpd.org or in person at any park district registration office. For more information, call the museum at 847-255-1225.
