Binstock, Warren battle past Vernon Hills
Stephen Binstock went 3-for-3, knocked in 3 runs and scored twice to lead Warren's baseball team to a 12-4 win over Vernon Hills on Friday.
Ben Perner was 1-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored for the Blue Devils (4-2), while Sean Hannigan went 1-for-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Ryan Kain got the win.
Mundelein 4, Lakeview 0: The Mustangs returned from their undefeated trip downstate to play a game in Chicago and won again, as Derek Parola went 2-for-4 with a double, while Logan Reckert tripled.
Tyler Kozaritz notched the win, helping Mundelein improve to 7-0.
Fenwick 10, Grayslake North 2: At the ESPN Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla., the Knights led the finale of their trip 1-0 until the Friars scored 3 runs in the fourth and four in the fifth.
JP Zalewski was 2-for-3 with a walk for Grayslake North (3-2). Dom DiProva started on the mound for the Knights and threw 3 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits, walking one and striking out one.
Warren 5, Harrisburg 3: On Thursday, Ben Dinter (3 RBI) and Andrew Hill (stolen base) each went 2-for-3 and scored a run for the Blue Devils.
Andrew Nickell had a double. Scott Gordon earned the win, while Jake Falish got the save.
