• Myryenichelle Christian, 43, of the 0-99 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Carpentersville, was charged with felony obstructing justice/destroying evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 8:28 p.m. Sunday at Williams and Kings roads near Carpentersville, according to a sheriff's report. Christian was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Michael T. Provost, 35, of the 13000 block of Fieldstone Drive, Huntley, who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver's license and no seat belt, the report said. Christian is accused of swallowing a $20 bag of crack when police pulled them over. She also was wanted on a retail theft warrant out of Cook County, according to the report.
• Gustavo Garcia Jr., 21, of the 1600 block of McKool Avenue, Streamwood, was charged with possession of marijuana and speeding after a traffic stop at 12:39 a.m. Wednesday at North Main Street and Plank Road near Burlington, according to a sheriff's report.
