• Gregory R. Sabo, 19, of the 1300 block of Saddlebrook Road, Bartlett, was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, DUI, reckless driving, and failure to signal at 3:46 a.m. Sunday on the 1400 block of Ridge Road near South Elgin, according to a sheriff's report. Sabo is accused of taking deputies on a short car chase, then hitting a tree on Ridge Road and fleeing before he was caught.

• Nestor F. Perez, 23, of the 100 block of Edgewood Drive, Streamwood, was arrested and charged with criminal property damage at 11:01 p.m. March 21 on the 11N200 block of Williamsburg Drive near Elgin, according to sheriff's report. Perez is accused of breaking a sliding-glass door at the home then fleeing after the homeowner came to investigate, police said.

• Nicolas M. Chioni, 22, of the 1100 block of Waukegan Road, Deerfield, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:27 a.m. Sunday in the 39W600 block of Highland Avenue near Elgin after authorities were called to assist a driver, according to a sheriff's report. Chioni told police he got mad that his car stalled and broke the rear window in frustration, the report said, and deputies found a marijuana pipe in his car.

• Travis B. Linville, 37, of the 800 block of Brook Street, Elgin, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 11:15 p.m. March 20 after a traffic stop on the 1600 block of Larkin Avenue in Elgin, according to a sheriff's report. Linville smelled of alcohol and was asleep in a grocery store parking lot in his car, which was in gear but he had his foot on the brake, the report said.
