3rd Annual Recycle-O-Rama:

Vernon Township Highway Commissioner Bryant Schroeder, in cooperation with the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, has organized the 3rd Annual Recycle-O-Rama to celebrate Earth Day on April 26. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Vernon Township Highway Department Offices at 3050 N. Main St., Buffalo Grove. Residents are invited to recycle: electronics, gym shoes, florescent bulbs, corks (not plastic), batteries, CDs, DVDs, media disks, cassettes, hearing aids, eye glasses and accessories, cellphones, keys, aluminum tabs, ink cartridges, crayons, gently used books, propane tanks, batteries, fire extinguishers, latex paint (small fee), prom dresses and confidential document shredding.
