Viator gets first win

The St. Viator softball team not only got to enjoy the weather in Florida but also enjoyed its first win of the season on Tuesday.

Behind a 5-hitter from junior Krystal Harris, St. Viator posted a 17-4 victory over Beluah High School (Ala.) at the ESPN Sports Complex.

Harris also had 3 hits and 2 RBIs.

Senior Sam Hogan led St. Viator (1-1) with 3 hits, including a double off the top of the wall and 3 RBI.

Senior Kristen Hackel also drove in 3 runs with a pair of hits, including her second double of the season.

Senior Tess Kaiser added 3 RBI with a double and a single while freshman Cam VanValkenburg chipped in 2 hits and 3 runs. Freshman Grace Kaiser doubled in 2 runs with her first varsity hit and teammate Savannah Ritchie also got her first varsity hit.
