Wheeling improved to 2-0 with a 19-0 victory over Sidwell of Washington, D.C., on Monday at Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla.

Brenden Spillane allowed 1-hit with 6 strikeouts in 4 innings for the Wildcats, and Lucas Vieau, Spillane, George Alimissis, Jake Jordan and Nathan Cooney each had 2 hits.

St. Viator rolls: St. Viator earned a 10-0 victory over University High School of Morgantown, W. Va., as part of the Cal Ripken experience in Myrtle Beach, N.C. on Monday.

Winning pitcher Mike Piet improved to 2-0. He'd already earned a victory in a relief appearance on Saturday.

"We have got some pretty good pitching so far," said St. Viator coach Mike Manno. "Mike Piet has done a great job for us so far. We have done a real good job of sticking with our approach. The kids are buying in."
