Honor for Schuler Scholars founder:

Schuler Scholar Program's founder is slated to receive a prestigious honor. On April 12, the Harvard Club of Chicago will give one of two annual awards to Jack Schuler. Harvard Club of Chicago selected him in recognition of the Schuler Scholar Program's meaningful contributions to the well-being of young people in areas including Gurnee and Round Lake. Since 2001, when Schuler and daughter Tanya Schuler Sharman launched the scholar program, more than 780 disadvantaged Lake and Cook County teens have been accepted into the most selective colleges in the country.
