Body found left at Indianapolis apartment complex

INDIANAPOLIS - Police say a woman's body was found stuffed inside a wooden chest left next to a trash bin at an Indianapolis apartment complex.

Lawrence police Capt. Gary Woodruff says investigators believe the woman was killed elsewhere and brought to the complex where a security guard found the chest Sunday.

Woodruff says relatives of 24-year-old Jazmine Trammell last saw her Sunday morning. He says Trammell didn't live at the complex on the northeast side of Indianapolis, but did have friends there.

Woodruff called Trammell's death a homicide but wouldn't give more details until an autopsy was completed.

Investigators were seeking help in identifying the 4-1/2 foot-long chest with a leather-covered lid.
