Vista Health set to host 'Healthy Women Expo & Health Fair
Vista Health System's annual Healthy Woman Expo and Health Fair is coming to the Holiday Inn Gurnee Convention Center Thursday, April 3.
The event runs from 3-7 p.m. and features a special fashion show to follow immediately afterward.
The Holiday Inn Gurnee Convention Center is located at 6161 Grand Ave., across from Gurnee Mills Mall. The Expo and Health Fair is free and requires no advanced registration. The first 500 attendees receive a free tote bag.
The fashion show, also free, starts at 7 p.m. and will feature an assortment of 2014 spring and summer trends by Neiman Marcus Last Call in Gurnee. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be available during the show.
The Expo & Health Fair will include free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, bone density and more. Vista physicians will make presentations every half-hour on a variety of women's health issues, such as sports injuries, stress, cervical cancer and sexual health.
The expo will include a variety of local vendors offering beauty products, jewelry, popular household items, spa/fitness services, items for purchase and much more.
This year's Expo and Health Fair will include cooking demonstrations at 4 and 6 p.m. with food samples, as well as three kinds of exercise sessions including MissFit Fitness Fusion at 4:30 p.m., zumba at 5:30 p.m. and yoga at 6:30 p.m., so women are encouraged to wear casual clothes to join in on the fun.
