Network while celebrating Women's History Month in St. Charles

Celebrate Women's History Month with the Network of Entrepreneurial Women from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Town House Books, 105 N. Second Ave., St. Charles.

It will feature special guest speaker Barbara Joan Zeitz who is an historian, gender equity analyst and author with a master's in women's studies and law. A former Illinois Humanities Council Road Scholar Speaker, she writes a monthly online column CountHerHistory now in its 10th year at www.aauw-il.org/information. Her book is a prime example of women representing this year's Women's History Month theme, "Celebrating Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment." Published in 2012, "A Thesaurus of Women From Cherry Blossoms to Cell Phones" is an anthology of her online columns, which she began in 2007. It celebrates women, most unknown, and their accomplishments, all well known." Her second book is scheduled for publication in 2014.

Town House Books, an independent bookstore for all ages located in historic Century Corners in downtown St. Charles, opened its doors in 1974 and also houses the Town House Café, featuring a menu of fresh-from-scratch soups and creative sandwiches.
