Kleeman jumps to early lead in 18th Judicial Circuit

DuPage County Circuit Judge Bob Kleeman appears likely to retain the seat he was appointed to last year.

With 56 percent of 756 DuPage County precincts reporting unofficial totals Tuesday, Kleeman has received 55 percent of the vote to Judge Neal Cerne's 45 percent.

Kleeman was appointed to the seat in February 2013 by the Illinois Supreme Court after serving more than four years as an associate judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit.
