Submitted by Lindenhurst Park District

The Illinois Association of Park Districts and Illinois Park and Recreation Association have presented a 2013 Co-Community Service Award to the Grayslake North High School Public Service Practicum Program and State Representative JoAnn D. Osmond, 61st District, for their outstanding volunteerism and legislative support to the Lindenhurst Park District.

Over the years, the program and State Rep. Osmond have provided communitywide support through regular school program volunteerism and state grant support and securement.

These awards were presented at the local level at a regular meeting of the Board of Park Commissioners March 11.
