Strike Three clinic gives back to player:

Strike 3 Baseball hosts a youth baseball clinic on March 29 at the Round Lake Sports Center, 2004 Municipal Way, Round Lake Beach. The clinic will give 50 percent of the proceeds to "Answer for Evan," a not-for-profit charity for Lake Villa baseball standout Evan O'Brien, 10, who was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma/Leukemia. The clinic will concentrate on throwing, base running, outfield, hitting, fielding ground balls, footwork and breaking down pitching mechanics. The cost for each player is $35. The clinics are: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for players aged 6 through 8; and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. for players aged 9 through 11. Three members from Strike 3 will instruct the clinic and four college players will assist. People who would like to donate to Evan without going to the clinic can do so at giveforward.com. To sign up for the clinic visit strike3caughtlookin.com.
