Special Police Enforcement for St. Patrick's Day Weekend

The Arlington Heights Police Department will commence specialized traffic enforcement activities relating to the upcoming "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" holiday enforcement campaign starting Friday, March 14, 2014 through St. Patrick's Day on Monday, March 17, 2014.

Enforcement activities will include a Roadside Safety Check conducted on Friday, March 14 on Arlington Heights Road south of Algonquin Road and additional impaired driving saturation patrols. Officers working the campaigns will be attempting to identify and cite motorists who choose to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, without using their safety belts, or are committing other traffic-related offenses.

The campaign is funded with Federal traffic safety funds, which are administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation - Division of Traffic Safety. For additional information, please contact Sergeant Michael Shabez of the Arlington Heights Police Department at (847) 368-5421.
