Cicero man accused of making false bomb threat

A man has been arrested on charges that he made a false bomb threat at a suburban courthouse.

In a news release, the Cook County sheriff's office says that 34-year-old Carlos Davila of Cicero is suspected of phoning in the threat on the Maywood courthouse on Tuesday morning.

After it was learned the call had come from a pay phone inside the courthouse, deputies examining courthouse surveillance cameras identified Davila as the suspect. He was later taken into custody and charged with a felony disorderly conduct.

The courthouse was searched, and no suspicious items were found.

There was no telephone listing for Davila, and the state's attorney's office could not immediately say whether Davila had retained an attorney.
