More than 40 films to be shown at Geneva Film Festival

The seventh annual Geneva Film Festival, "Celebrating the Art of Independent Film," is ready to roll out the red carpet Thursday to Saturday, March 6-8, in historic downtown Geneva at Shodeen's Dodson Place, corner of Second and Fulton streets.

More than 40 films are showcased including numerous international films.

Ticket are $5 per block, single showing; $10 per day; $15 for a three-day all-festival pass.

Special events include:

• Student Night, Thursday, March 6. Students with ID receive a free T-shirt while quantities last and half off a three-day pass, $7.50 or half price on a single day pass, $5.

• Filmmaker's Roundtable is Saturday, March 8. Start the day with a free continental breakfast and learn more about the filmmaking process and challenges faced when producing an independent film. This event is open to the public.

• "It's a Wrap" Party will be Saturday, March 8, at Wildwood Restaurant. This closing celebration is open to the public. There will be live music and Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns will attend.
