Lake in the Hills

• Two Lake in the Hills residents are accused of growing marijuana plants in their home, officials said. Alexandra Koza, 29, and Jeremy Christl, 31, of the 600 block of Willow Street, each have been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis, and unlawful production of cannabis sativa plants, according to a sheriff's report. The McHenry County sheriff's office Narcotics Task Force conducted a monthlong investigation into the sale and cultivation of cannabis sativa plants, police said. On Feb. 5, task force members, assisted by members of the Lake in the Hills Police Department, searched the couple's home, reports said, where detectives seized about nine cannabis plants, 731 grams of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, a digital drug scale and $324. Bond for each was set at $50,000 each. Christl's next court date is March 18, and Koza's is April 4.
