Harper hits the road for Region IV playoff game

Fans of the Harper College women's basketball team may only get one last look reigning Region IV player of the week, Hawks sophomore Monica Hinderer.

The Hawks (3-23) received the sixth seed in the NJCAA regional tournament bracketing, meaning they'll travel to Madison, Wis., for a first-round game against third-seeded Madison College (19-9) on Tuesday. The teams met just last Friday, with the Wolfpack coming away with an 83-58 win.

Hinderer is among the national leaders in both scoring and rebounding.

Tuesday's other Region IV quarterfinal seees No. 5 seed Joliet Junior College traveling to Glen Ellyn to face third-seeded College of DuPage. Rock Valley College (24-5), ranked No. 1 in the nation, earned the tournament's top seed.
