Bartlett Youth Theatre presents 'The Little Mermaid Jr.'

Join in the fun as the Bartlett Park District Youth Theatre presents Disney's "The Little Mermaid Jr." 7 p.m. March 6, 7, and 8 and 1 p.m. on March 8 and 9, at the Bartlett Community Center, 700 S. Bartlett Road, in Bartlett.

The musical is based on the 2008 Broadway production and the 1989 animated feature film. The cast contains approximately 56 members, ages 8-18, led by director Charlie Brieger, music director Kevin Mikol, and choreographer Jen Prise.

Tickets are $9 per person and can be ordered at the Bartlett Community Center or over the phone with a credit card by calling (630) 540-4834. All seating is reserved and assigned.

The show runs approximately 75-85 minutes including a 15 minute intermission.

This classic Disney title contains all of the songs from the Academy Award-winning animated feature film as well as three new songs from the Broadway show.

"The Little Mermaid Jr." takes place in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where a beautiful young merm aid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, the king of the sea, escape the clutches of an evil sea witch and convince a prince that she's the girl with the perfect voice.
