Seuss-abrate

Hey, Dr. Seuss fans! March 2 marks the 109th anniversary of Dr. Seuss' birthday. So grab your hat and get ready to "Seuss-abrate" as the West Chicago Public Library District invites children and families to check out its line-up of Seuss-themed events as well as its extensive collection of Seuss books, DVDs, biographies, and more.

The week-long celebration kicks off on Sunday, February 23 from 1:00-2:30 pm with a "Read Across America" event featuring Seuss-themed crafts and activities for all ages. On Friday, February 28 from 10:00-11:30 am, enjoy a showing of "The Lorax," the latest Dr. Seuss book to be made into a feature-length movie. Snacks will be provided. The celebration week will culminate on Sunday, March 2 from 2:00-3:00 pm with a special Dr. Seuss Birthday Party, including stories, a special visit from Thing 1 and Thing 2, and birthday cake, of course!

No registration is required for any of these free events. Don't miss out on all the Seuss fun. In the words of the immortal Dr. Seuss, "Be awesome. Be a book nut!"
