Hey, Dr. Seuss fans! March 2 marks the 109th anniversary of Dr. Seuss' birthday. So grab your hat and get ready to "Seuss-abrate" as the West Chicago Public Library District invites children and families to check out its line-up of Seuss-themed events as well as its extensive collection of Seuss books, DVDs, biographies, and more.

The week-long celebration kicks off on Sunday, February 23 from 1:00-2:30 pm with a "Read Across America" event featuring Seuss-themed crafts and activities for all ages. On Friday, February 28 from 10:00-11:30 am, enjoy a showing of "The Lorax," the latest Dr. Seuss book to be made into a feature-length movie. Snacks will be provided. The celebration week will culminate on Sunday, March 2 from 2:00-3:00 pm with a special Dr. Seuss Birthday Party, including stories, a special visit from Thing 1 and Thing 2, and birthday cake, of course!
