Hinderer Named Player of the Week
Fresh off of being named Harper College Athlete of the Week for the third time in her illustrious career, Harper women's basketball standout Monica Hinderer (Arlington Heights, Ill./The Willows Academy) was named Region IV Div. III Player of the Week.
The 6-foot center averaged 29.0 PPG and 14.5 RPG in two games last week. She scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds against DuPage Feb. 12. Against Milwaukee on Feb. 15, Hinderer exploded for 34 points and 20 rebounds. For the week, she shot 54.8 percent (23-of-42) from the field.
Hinderer is averaging 21.6 PPG (13th in nation) and 14.4 RPG (fourth in nation) in 24 games this season.
