The Peoples' Bank to Sponsor Just Move It! Challenge Run/Walk

The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights has joined on as a corporate sponsor for the Arlington Heights Council of PTAs and ABC/25 Foundation's Just Move It! Challenge Run/Walk. The annual fun/fitness event is expected to bring together more than 1000 students, teachers, parents, and administrators representing nine schools from Arlington Heights School District 25.

This year's event is scheduled for April 12th beginning at South Middle School. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile run/walk. The funds raised from Just Move It! Challenge go to the Scholarship and Grant Fund, benefiting the education of School District 25 students through PTA scholarships and the ABC/25 Foundation Grant selection. Funds are managed by the Arlington Heights Council of PTAs and ABC/25 Foundation which represent the parent teacher organizations from the nine elementary and middle schools in District 25.

"The Just Move It! Challenge is a major fundraising event for the district that brings the community together and whose contributions allow us to provide funding for students and faculty in their pursuit of educational goals," said event co-director Doris Downing. "We are grateful for the support of outstanding community businesses like The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights."

A frequent contributor to local schools and organizations, The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights welcomes the opportunity to support the Just Move It! Challenge according to Peoples' Bank President Frank Appleby. "The Arlington Heights Council of PTAs and the ABC/25 Foundation do an outstanding job of supporting both students and teachers in Arlington Heights and we're very pleased to be among the sponsors for their event in April. The Peoples' Bank has two locations with full service lobbies in Arlington Heights, one in the downtown area at 41 South Vail, and the other that includes a drive-through at 1104 South Arlington Heights Road. The bank has been a long time sponsor of the Frontier Days Stampede and A Christmas Carol at Metropolis, is entering it's third year as sponsor of the annual Sounds of Summer Concert Series, and is a key sponsor for Arlington Heights Park District events including the National Night Out and Picnic in the Park.
