Nominees wanted for Gurnee Days honor:
Gurnee Days Corp. seeks nominations for a living individual or couple who has given selfless service to the community. Traits for Gurnee Days honoree include self-sacrifices and other praiseworthy actions that may pass unnoticed or unremembered by the general public. To qualify for the nomination, the individual or couple must have provided a meaningful contribution to Gurnee for 10 years or more. A testimonial dinner will be on Thursday, Aug. 7. Also, the individual or couple will lead the Gurnee Days parade on Sunday, Aug. 10. Nominations must be postmarked on or before March 27. Forms may be picked up at Gurnee village hall, Gurnee Park District locations or download at gurneedays.com.
