CUB to answer utility questions in Des Plaines
Representatives of the Citizens Utility Board will be in Des Plaines Wednesday night to answer questions about utility expenses.
CUB, a nonprofit consumer group, is sponsoring the session with the city of Des Plaines where residents will be able to get a free one-on-one analysis by CUB professionals on how to spot billing errors and avoid common pitfalls and scams, according to a news release.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their gas, electric and telephone bills.
The free event is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood St.
Registration is required by calling the city's health and human services office at (847) 391-5480.
