SOCHI SCENE: Sleeveless Skiing

KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia - It's warm. It's snowy. It's sunny. It's the Olympics. It's ... time to improvise.

While Olympians and Olympic spectators alike bask in, and cope with, a highly balmy Sochi Games, we're starting to see some unusual juxtapositions out in the arenas of competition. Here's one from Thursday, from Associated Press photographer Matthias Schrader: cross-country skier Sophie Caldwell of the United States doing the women's 10K classical-style race in a sleeveless top.

Temperatures in Sochi are expected to hit 61 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees Celsius) on Thursday and 63 (17) on Friday.
