Get maniacal

Alternative-rock stalwarts 10,000 Maniacs will make a stop this weekend in the suburbs. The band is probably best known for its late-'80s/early-'90s period with lead singer Natalie Merchant, a stretch that saw the band score a number of hits, including "What's the Matter Here" and "These Are Days." But the band has remained active since Merchant left in 1993, and it's touring now behind its latest album, "Music From the Motion Picture."

8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St., St. Charles. Tickets start at $29;

Up-and-coming pop

Pop group Emblem3, which consists of brothers Wesley and Keaton Stromberg, along with their friend Drew Chadwick, got its break through the Simon Cowell singing show "The X Factor." The band placed fourth, but it secured a record deal on the strength of its performances. Emblem3's national tour comes to the suburbs this weekend.

7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Road, Rosemont. Tickets start at $27.50;

Back for more

Justin Timberlake returns to Chicago this weekend for the first of two shows. Timberlake is touring behind his successful two-volume album, "The 20/20 Experience," which came out last year. His music and live performances, along with his acting work in acclaimed projects like the Coen brothers' film "Inside Llewyn Davis," have made Timberlake one of the most acclaimed entertainers of the decade.

8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, and Monday, Feb. 17, at the United Center, 1901 W. Madison St., Chicago. Tickets start at $49.50;
