• Charges are not evidence of guilt. Under law, individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
• A security agent for Kohl’s, 800 W. Dundee Road, saw a man in his late 20s or early 30s take a vacuum cleaner valued at $700 around 12:15 p.m. Feb. 7.
• Thieves stole a men’s wallet around Jan. 9 out of an office at Windows Plus, 725 E. Dundee Road. Someone used a credit card in the wallet at CVS in Buffalo Grove, Walmarts in Palatine and Elk Grove Village, and a Target in Schaumburg. Value was estimated at $904. The victim noticed the charges when he received his monthly card statement on Feb. 7.
• Vandals shattered the front driver’s-side window and broke a section of a driver’s-side bumper between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 6 and 8 a.m. Feb. 7 on a 2003 Cadillac CTS sedan in an apartment lot on the 200 block of South Wilke Road. Damage was estimated at $700.
