The suburbs will be bitterly cold. Again. And we are getting close to setting a record.
The National Weather Service says temperatures throughout the Chicago area will hover at about zero through Tuesday and the wind will make it feel a lot colder. On Monday, the high is expected to stay under 10 degrees and there are reports that the wind chills have already fallen lower than 30 degrees below zero in some areas.

Chicago is inching close to a record number of subzero lows for one season. The temperatures have been below zero 19 times in Chicago this winter. The record of 25 was set more than a century ago.
Commuters are advised to expect some cold-related delays on trains in and out of Chicago.
Temperatures are expected to climb Wednesday, when temperatures could reach the low 20s.
