DeVry campuses will be open Tuesday

DeVry University says all of its Chicago-area campuses will be open Tuesday after a threatening email prompted the school to close on Monday.

The school made the announcement Monday evening regarding DeVry campuses and its Chamberlain College of Nursing locations. The campuses were closed on Monday because of a “potential security issue.”

The school has not elaborated on the email but did say that the decision to close was made after consulting with law enforcement officials. Chicago Police officials say they're investigating an “unspecified threat.”

DeVry operates campuses in downtown Chicago and near O'Hare International Airport, and has campuses in Naperville, Tinley Park, Gurnee and other suburbs.
