While at the drive-thru at Portillos in Vernon Hills, I noticed a nice row of icicles forming on the roof. The sun was low in the sky and cast a nice shadow on the light as well as the icicles hanging from it. I like the fact that the light isn't centered in the frame but the shadow is. Ski Jumper Mikael Kveder, from Slovenia, glides down the 70-meter hill at the Norge International Ski Jumping Tournament in Fox River Grove recently as snow clouds envelope the early afternoon sun. He was the 15th most graceful jumper of the day, out of more than 60 competitors, according to the judges, and he won the US Cup class with the longest jump of the day at 77.5 meters.
