Sports commentator Lester Munson to speak in Batavia

Batavia's monthly noontime book program Books Between Bites welcomes Lester Munson, nationally known commentator and ESPN senior writer and legal analyst, for his annual visit to the program Thursday, Feb. 20.

The free book discussion series will be from noon to 1 p.m. the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave. Munson will discuss the books "Ramblers: Loyola Chicago 1963 - The Team that Changed the Color of College Basketball" by Michael Lenehan, and "The 34-Ton Bat: The Story of Baseball as Told Through Bobbleheads, Cracker Jacks, Jockstraps, Eye Black, and 375 Other Strange and Unforgettable Objects" by Sports Illustrated's Steve Rushin.

The public is invited to attend this free program; reservations are not required. People can bring their lunch and eat as they enjoy the program and discussion. Lunch items, beverages and baked goods can be purchased at Chapters Coffeehouse & Café, just inside the library.
