An outstanding 'can do' candidate

Granted, we live in St. Charles and cannot vote in Geneva's upcoming school board election. However, it has long been our custom to support outstanding "can do" people for positions in our neighboring communities, no matter what the venue.

Such is the case with Kelly Nowak who is seeking another term on the school board. Having worked with Kelly on many community projects, we have seen firsthand what she can accomplish. One example would be her role in helping get the new $3 million Tri City Salvation Army building and its programs up and running. Today the building is bursting at the seams with activities for all Tri Cities residents. It is but one example of her way of doing things. She always takes the long view, objectively ascertaining the best course of action, then working to accomplish it.

We have often discussed the dangers in focusing only on a single issue. That focus tends to blind one to the multitude of choices facing any board and the necessity to deal with them fairly and expeditiously. Her mantra has always been, "What is the best for the organization and its long term future?"

Please vote for Kelly. You'll be glad you did.
