Dining events: Naperville gets That Burger Joint

That Burger Joint opens in Naperville

Order a hormone-free Angus burger and finish it off with an Oberweis milkshake at recently opened That Burger Joint in Naperville. The Oberweis creation combines a fast-casual restaurant with the family’s signature dairy store. It’s the third of its kind in the suburbs (others in Glen Ellyn and Skokie). That Burger Joint serves up burgers and grilled chicken breasts on a traditional or pretzel bun and offers fresh-cut fries.

Wood-fired pizza comes to Carol Stream

Lincoln Park favorite Pizzeria da Nella Cucina Napoletana is now available in the suburbs with its recent opening in Carol Stream. The pizzeria serves wood-fired Neapolitan pizza made with genuine Neapolitan pizza dough and fresh ingredients from Italy cooked in a wood-oven stove made of Naples bricks. Pastas, salads and other Italian specialties also are on the menu.

Snuggery channels Chandler’s

Chandler’s Chophouse and Grill remains closed through March for renovations, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get its famous specials. The Snuggery, also owned by Ala Carte Entertainment, will be serving up Chandler’s Four Buck Burger with a choice of cheese, french fries or tater tots for $3.99 on Wednesdays; and the $10.99 deep-fried lake perch with french fries or tater tots and soup or salad on Fridays.
