Voting by mail begins Feb. 6:

Friday, Feb. 6, is the first day to submit a request for a ballot by mail. While Illinois law requires a separate request for ballot at each election before mailing a voter a ballot, voters may now complete an electronic request without signing a form. The new law also requires state election officials to share with campaign committees and political organizations the email addresses of all voters using the new E-request option. Those who do not wish to have an email address shared with political campaigns may complete, print, sign, and mail a paper form available at LakeVoterPower.info. VotingByMail@lakecountyil.gov or (847) 377-2406.
