Next Arlington Hts. citizen police academy starts in March

Registration is now open for the next session of the Arlington Heights Citizens Police Academy which begins March 11.

The class is offered exclusively to residents and business leaders from Arlington Heights and is held on Tuesday nights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for 11 consecutive weeks.

The program includes classroom training, open discussions, multimedia presentations, demonstrations, practical exercises and hands-on firearms familiarization on the police department firing range. Classroom outings include a tour of the department’s 911 Center and the 3rd Circuit Court District Courthouse in Rolling Meadows.

The classes are free, but limited to 25 students per session.
